That says “Hello, I’m writing this on a Dvorak Keyboard.” I really am. If you’ve never tried it, you’re probably a smarter person than I.

I think I just hit that level of nerdiness that only fans of XKCD truly appreciate.

Also, I’m typing somewhere between 12 and 20 words per minute. And basic punctuation really throws me off. This isn’t going to be fun for programming…

  1. Woo hoo! I have been a dvorak geek for years! I never learned totouch type on a qwerty keyboard, but Icould hunt-and-peck with the best of ‘em.

  2. Yeah, I just started playing around with it last night… It’s not all that hard when I’m just typing like right now, but I have a lot of trouble with programming. I’m just happy that I can toggle the keyboard easily. For now…

  3. Don’t give it up! It is completely worth typing with Dvorak. I’ve been touch-typing on Dvorak for over 10 years now (I can also touch type on Qwerty as well). Who cares if its faster on Dvorak (its probably negligible) or not? It will completely eliminate any stress/pain you have in your wrists.
