It’s tradition in my family and in Elizabeth’s family to celebrate St. Nicholas Day by setting our shoes out on the eve of St. Nicholas’ feast day (today); in the middle of the night, St. Nicholas and his helper Zwarte Piet bring gifts to good children. And adults. Gifts and candy for the adults too.

So my wife wanted to print some coupons from Target.com today. She’s been using the Chromebook a lot lately 1.
So it’s not too uncommon a request for her to ask me to print something. Neither one of us had set up Google Cloud Print, and I was using the desktop, which is wired to the printer.
So I went to target.com, checked the coupons
she I we wanted to print, and clicked “Print Coupons”. This is what I saw (green emphasis mine):
- Her HP laptop (with Windows) has decided to take 15 minutes to turn on and a subsequent 5 minutes to process any input and 5 minutes to render all output ↩
