An example of post formats ‒ This is an aside post format. Andrew Spittle is talking about them right now at the WordPress DC meetup.

WordPress DC Presentation

I’m giving a lightning talk at the April WordPress DC meetup tonight. It’s a case study on one of our clients at Avendi Media, MFX Solutions. Here are the slides:

An Update on Life

I realized today that it’s been a while since I posted anything. That’s just a shame, and it shouldn’t be this long between posts.

So, I guess an update on life:

Since the last time I posted, I haven’t really done a whole lot. Work has been really busy 1, and being married is like having another job at home.

How WordPress Saved My Computer

So, in my writeup of the town hall with Matt Mullenweg, I promised a post about the after-party (and after-after-party).

WordPress DC Meetup: Town Hall with Matt Mullenweg

On Monday, the WordPress DC Meetup group hosted Matt Mullenweg, the founder of WordPress, for a town hall-style meetup. This was by far the largest group we’ve gotten together, coming in at about 85 people. That’s more than doubled our previous record, and more than tripled our average.

Matt started off with a slide-show of some “never before seen” pictures (taken in DC) surrounding the creation of WordPress. After that, he started taking questions from the attendees. Continue Reading

Realization and Resolution

Last Night, Matt Mullenweg did a town hall meetup here in DC. It was really amazing, and I’ll do a full write-up of my thoughts on the meetup later. I had a realization at the meetup, though; an epiphany, if you will. The people attending (myself included) seemed to all agree on one thing: we don’t blog as often as we ought.

So I’m going to try to post at on at least 4 days of each week now. Hopefully I’ll be able to strike a balance between geeky and non-geeky topics; we’ll see.

What would you like to see me write more about?
