An Update on Life; or, Why John has been Absent for Months

Well, I’ve gone and done it now.

I went and got married.

For those of you who follow this blog regularly, this should be no surprise. I know I mentioned it at least once in the past. Anyway, I married Elizabeth on January 8th, in San Felipe de Neri church in Old Town Albuquerque. The wedding was beautiful, with so much joy and talent added by some wonderful and generous friends and family. Everything went off without a hitch, although it started a few minutes late.

The reception was splendid too. My wife and I even got to eat something there! The dancing was a blast; we even did a traditional Texas Grand March (so much fun!) in which we got almost everybody on the dance floor!

Oh, and the toasts! I certainly got my fair share of roasts as well. It was just so wonderful to have so many people sharing and adding to our joy on the big day.

I hope to have more pictures to follow, but here’s one of my favorites for now. It’s the groom’s cake (Yes, the assignment instead of comparison is intentional in the code)

Kansas boy transplanted to DC. English major transplanted to web development. Lover of things.
